Mothers Day card

I spent the little bit of time I got in my craft room yesterday making a Mothers Day card. All the products are Heidi Swapp and lots of digital files were used. This is the front and inside of the card.

Travel Memory file for a swap

I created this for Melinda from a mail art swap group on Facebook and she received it today so just posting the pictures. I have also recieved my memory file from Melinda and will post pictures of that as soon I get my pictures in it.
I did a travel theme as Melinda and her family are taking a vacation later this summer. On the cover, my banner and some of the words were cut from digital files from Heidi Swapp.
On page 1, I included a calendar in case she wanted to note things they did on the specific day, a vellum envelope to hold tickets and etc and on the right hand side is a small photo flip

On page 3 the frames and airplane were cut from the Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge and the page on the right hand side is another photo flip

On page 4 these frames were also cut from the Stand and Salute cartridge and the page on the right hand side is a mini file

On the left is the last page of the mini and on the right is another photo flip

This section is for Melinda. She will be celebrating her birthday while they are on vacation, and since she has 2 little boys I thought this was a good place to use some pink. On the left side is a photo flip and on the right there is a mini file.

File folder love mini

I made this for Sara using some of the digital valentine files from Heidi Swapp. The file folder I got at Hobby Lobby and just cut it down using one of Heidis mini files as a template. I didnt add much to it so that she could personalize it in her own way.

Project Life - week 6

Just a picture of me in a Google Earth picture at my work. I just thought it was kinda cool to get captured in one of those pictures...even though its hard to see me in this printed version. Then the start up the second half of the Walking Dead, and trying a New York dog at Sonic.

Project Life - weeks 4 and 5

Week 4 with some of the girls from our crop, and the Masks of Comedy wooden faces that Steve carved to donate to Michele for a benefit auction that she was putting on and a flower that he carved for me out of wood with a nice little note.
Week 5 with a picture of the book I just finsihed and a movie we went to see. Also all the grocery receipts from the month...just because I think it will be neat 20 years from now if someone was to take the receipts out and compare it to the the prices they are paying then. Or even it they are just interested to see what kinds of things we always bought at the store.
Still using the coffee cups for the week markers and liking it still. Used some stamps and punches for the embellies and a quote card found on the internet.

Project Life - Week 3

This week was about me taking the boys their own Smash Books and a few things to play withh to go along with them. They both really loved the washi tape. LOL They both love to make cards and scrapbooks so they thought it was great to get their own books to do whatever they wanted in. Kadens book had a page about left handed people so he did that one for him and his Nana as they are both left handed.
They spent the night with us that weekend and Kaden had gotten a pair of cowboy boots so he helped Grandpa make a bootjack that he could he use and since Kaden really loves stars he carved his own to hang on his wall.
This week started the use of the coffe cup to use as my "week" marker. Still using it and still trying to find my niche for doing these pages.

Project Life - Week 2

This is a good example of why I am doing Project Life as 8.5 x 11 pages. The kids are grown and gone and there just isnt alot of stuff that happens around here on a weekly basis.....were boring....lol. Steve had a business trip this week to Waterloo Iowa and had a plane change in Chicago so he sent postcards from both Airports, and took a picture of a sign that was in the elevator in his Hotel room. All of these pictures he took...which is unusal because I seem to take the majority of our pictures.
