Week 44 - Part 3

We had made a trip home because my sweet Mother in law Mary had passed on 11/01. 11/02 would have been her 69th birthday. So my Father in law had a celebration at his house for both her birthday and to celebrate her life on 11/02. It was a great day filled with lots of stories from family and her friends. We were so grateful for all the family members that were able to make it back.
I used the November Take 10 Kit and the enamels were from a previous kit and the white card stock was from my supplies and everything else was from the Nov kit.

Here are the contents of the November kit. I loved the colors and theme of this kit. Everything goes together so well that it makes it super easy to complete a project!

Days 1-5 of Thankful

I am participating in Cathy Zielske's 30 Days of Thankful Facebook group and using her kit that was sold thru Studio Calico and also using some her digital files. This page is my days 1 thru 5. Some of the pictures are small but I wanted to do as few pages as possible for the 30 days. Hopefully this will get me in the habit of recording something everyday in my planner that I am Grateful for.
I have not used my typewriter in a long and evidently I need lots more practice with it!

This is the stamp set that is in the kit

Week 44 - Travel layout

My layout is from a trip back home to Bellevue Ne, and Sioux City Ia recently. All of the pocket cards are from the November Take 10 kit from The Studio 29 Designs.
The top right card is a stamp from Sweet Stamp Shop and I stamped it a second time on colored paper and then cut the states out that I wanted and glued them on. I stitched the path that we took and added stickles to the house and heart icons. I also stitched the timeline on the bottom of the card. Those enamel house stickers are from a previous Take 10 kit
I kept all the receipts and added the ones that pertained to these pictures in the mini envelope. Im sure the ink on these receipts will fade over time so I also wrote a small description on the envelope, I thought it might be fun years down the road to look back and see what gas prices were and etc.
The bottom 2 cards have some cork pieces, and I stamped on the cork and then used a punch.

The below image is the contents of the November kit and be sure to check out the shop as there are 2 add on stamps this month and lots of other goodies.

Nov Take 10 Sneak with my Week 44 title card

This is a 4x6 card from the November Take 10 kit from The Studio 29 Designs. I used the heart from the stamp set and filled it in with puffy paint. I used Scattered Straw and Diamond Stickles to add a little color and sparkle to the centers of the circles. The color of the alphas were a perfect match to the flag on the card!

Did a little playing with some of the other Tulip paint products with the November stamp set

Time Change

Excited to get to use the Fall Back and clock from the October Take 10 kit from The Studio 29 Designs. I also used the weather stamp that was an add on in a previous month. We had to make a trip back home last week so I happened to be in Sioux City Ia visiting my family and Steve was in Bellevue Ne with his family, but the weather info that I used was from Bellevue Ne.

How I use my Personal size Planner

The planner craze has been hot for quite awhile now and while I do like decorating my pages, my planner has to be functional first. I started using planners again about a year and a half ago and I actually use 2, but for two totally different reasons. This planner I carry in my purse and refer to it all day long! It is a Punctuate Planner by Barnes and Noble and in the store its only 10.00. I make my own covers for it and usually swap them out monthly. My pen of choice is the Uniball Signo and they come in lots of different colors and I have had no problem with bleed thru.

For these dividers I bought a digital file and printed them out 2 sided and cut them to fit. These are the front sides of all the dividers. The 2nd and 3rd page on the top right are part of the planner pages from Cocoa Daisy. For the tabs I used a We R Memory Keepers punch

These are the back sides of the dividers

This is the first page when I open my planner. On the left is a pocket card from a Take 10 Kit, some washi tape and a tab that was punched and then stamped. I loved the colors and the saying on this card so that I why I am using it. The page on the right is for notes and I used some alphas and stickers. Im trying to use less hash tags on Instagram and wrote down the ones that I want to use and put them on page flags so that I can transfer them to another page for a different month. I also used the reinforcement labels on these pages.

The 2nd page is a goals list that was a digital file and the page on the right is part of the Cocoa Daisy planner kit.

Pages from the Cocoa Daisy Planner kit and this starts my first section that I call Home

The monthly page is a free digital file and I stamped on the dates and used some Rub-Ons and washi. The only thing I use these pages for are to record what day a bill is due and I always fill this out at the end of the month for the next month

My next page is a Password tracker sheet and then I used a pocket page to have a picture and some cards. The pocket page originally only had 2 holes so I covered the edge with washi tape and then punched the holes with the Rapesco Punch. These are my 2 oldest Grandsons and the card is from a Take 10 kit.

My next page is some cards from a digital kit and a check register that I made in Excel and I change the colors each month to match. I use the magnetic markers as sub tabs

My next section I just call Daily as it is the daily pages. The Punctuate Planner comes with a week on 2 pages and I used those up until October when I wanted more room to be able to be more organized.
I used the stamp set from Studio Calico for the icons. I do like the page on the right hand side but not real fond of the page on the left. I like the "purchases and the thankful for" sections but not the rest. On Sundays I will get all my pages ready for the following week.

These pages are a week in review and I have not figured out a use for them yet. They are part of the Cocoa Daisy planner kit as well.

I use the Walmart magnetic pads for my grocery lists & then punch the holes. I use another magnetic marker here for a sub tab so the page is easy to find as I will add to the list thru out the week.

The next section I call Crafts and I keep a list of certain items that I have so that I don't duplicate them when Im in a store.

The last items in my planner are the credit card holder which I use mostly to store page flags and a zippered pouch. Both of these came with the planner and this is the only storage that I have.

I am still trying to figure out a way to make these planner pages work as I bought the October and November kits but in December I will go to something different.

Week 8 - Project Life 2014

Back on February 22nd we went for a hike at the Oak Ridge Park in Plano TX. It was 62 degrees that morning and just perfect weather! It was a really nice park with main trails that were concrete and then dirt trails that you could take off thru the woods. We mainly focused on all the dirt trails and one of the best things we ran across were these nature made swings of tree limbs that we up on a cliff.

I used the Leaves are Falling kit from Things that Shine, and I loved this kit for the Squirrels, gold leaves and some gold photo corners not used in the layout. Everything on my page is from this kit. I have not used buttons in a long time so decided to stitch a stick person with one of them! I have lots of product left over still and cant wait to use it up!
